The Red Cherry Shrimp is undoubtedly the most popular shrimp in the hobby due to the relatively easy ability to breed as well as their ability to live in many different water parameters. Most shrimp hobbyists start out with this species because of it easy requirements and to also learn about dwarf shrimp in general. Once acquiring experience in the hobby through keeping the Red Cherry Shrimp most hobbyists move on to the more difficult species like Tiger Shrimp and Crystal Red Shrimp. Other names for this species is Cherry Shrimp, Cherry Red Shrimp and the acronym R.C.S. means simply Red Cherry Shrimp (RCS). Adult females get the reddest colors, with the males having a more mottled red.

I was nervous with a storm going through CO that all of these lil guys wouldn't make it, but they did!
Thank you for packing them so securely!

Upon opening the package as per the instructions, I found only 2 shrimps to be alive. It looked as though the 3 smaller shrimp had been partially eaten. It may have been the plastic green mesh that was put in the package instead of live plants for the shrimp to cling to. It was kind of stiff and had sharp edges and may have tore them apart. When I contacted the seller via email asking them to replace the 3 shrimp they said I didn't read the find print saying only shrimp shipped by FedEx would be replaced. Technically they were correct. Being a reasonable person I offered to pay for full shipping cost (about $9.00) if they would replace the 3 dead shrimp. I thought that was fair but they refused. They said if I placed another order for 5 shrimp at full cost and used
FedEx they would "throw" in the extra 3 that were dead. I thought my offer was reasonable and will never order from them again
Sorry you can't leave a package of live shrimp sitting outside for 7 hours in the middle of summer and expect us to replace them. Buyers can't use this kind of neglect and expect us to just send more.

my order was in the winter time and Ron went out of his way to protect the shrimp. They were all healthy and are cleaning right now.
